Mobile versions of the DMV make it easier and quicker for people to get all their paperwork complete at the DMV. Mobile versions of the DMV can often make processing quicker for customers.

UPDATE: The Manassas DMV Customer Service Center is open, Feb. 23, 2015.

The Manassas DMV Customer Service Center will be closed Friday and Saturday, Feb. 20 and 21, as they are cleaning up water damage due to a pipe that burst.

Brandy Brubaker, spokesperson for the Virginia DMV, said she expects that offices will open again Monday. However, she suggests customers call in advance or check the website, Monday, to be sure.

While the indoor Customer Service Center will be closed, the DMV will have their DMV2Go mobile office at the Manassas location for those two days for the duration of the Service Center's usual business hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. to noon Saturday.

“Our mobile offices are called DMV2Go, and they are full-service customer service centers on wheels,” Burbaker said.

According to Burbaker, DMV2Go offers all of the DMV services available in their main centers, even down to taking photos for drivers license identification cards.

However, customers may wish to postpone their visit as wait times many be longer due to fewer employees working out of the mobile. Instead, customers may wish to visit another nearby DMV location, such as those located in Sterling, Warrenton, Woodbridge and Stafford.

Furthermore, Burbaker reminds customers that Virginia DMV can now service more than 30 types of online transactions.

The Manasssas DMV is located at 9800 Godwin Drive.
