Following a reported fight at the Lady Antebellum concert at Jiffy Lube Live in Bristow June 6, police charged Scott Matthew Ahlers, 26, of Manassas with public intoxication and assault and battery on a law enforcement officer.

According to officers assigned to work the concert detail, Ahlers appeared intoxicated and became agitated when they attempted to speak to him.

"The accused was subsequently arrested and transported to the police trailer on the property for processing," police spokesman Officer Jonathan Perok said. "While inside the trailer, the accused continued to act aggressively and, at one point, forcefully kicked one of the officers to his lower body."

During the transport to the Adult Detention Center, police said Ahlers sustained a head injury by repeatedly striking his head on the cage divider in the cruiser.

"The accused was transported to an area hospital for evaluation," Perok said. "While at the hospital, the accused became disruptive and disorderly towards staff."

The accused was treated and transported back to the Adult Detention Center.

The suspect's court date is July 8; his bond information was not available.
