Manassas Man Charged with Sexually Assaulting Minor in 2013

Detectives from the Special Victims Unit charged Rodney Eugene Thompson, 38, of Manassas with Aggravated Sexual Battery Feb. 25, following an investigation of an incident that occurred in 2013.

According to the victim, a female juvenile, she was sexually assaulted by the suspect in her home between August and December of 2013.

"[On Feb. 25, 2015] the victim reported the incident to her mother who immediately called police," police spokesman Officer Jonathan Perok said. "Following the investigation, the accused was arrested."

Thompson's court date is pending and bond information was not released.
