Manassas Man Charged with Sexually Assaulting 9-Year-Old Family Member

Prince William County Police arrested Charles Andrew Forsyth, 46, of Manassas June 27 on multiple charges in connection with the sexual assault of a 9-year-old female family member,

According to detectives from the Special Victims Unit, the assaults happened over the past year in a residence located in the 11200 block of Lady Jane Loop.

"The investigation revealed that the victim, a 9-year-old girl, was sexually assaulted by the accused, a family member, on more than one occasion between January of 2014 and June and 2015," police spokesperson Jonathan Perok said. "Following the investigation, the accused was arrested."

Police charged him with 4 counts of aggravated sexual battery, 6 counts of indecent liberties with children, 2 counts of forcible sodomy and 1 count of display of grooming or obscene material to children.

Forsyth's court date is pending and he is held without bond.
