Manssas Man Killed in Hensley Road Shooting

policedoor700pxPrince William Police have reported that the victim involved in the May 12 shooting on Hensley Road in Manassas has died today as a result of his injuries.

The victim has been identified as John Thomas Mannion, 43, of Manassas.

“Currently no arrests have been made,” said police spokesperson, Sgt. Jonathan Perok.

Police are currently searching for the suspects.

May 12, officers responded to a residence 9500 block of Hensley Road, at 2:45 a.m., to investigate a shooting.

“Officers arrived at the home and located an adult male victim inside suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body,” Perok said.

Mannion was transferred to an area hospital for treatment on life-threatening injuries.

No other occupants were harmed.

The preliminary investigation revealed that possibly two suspects entered the home and shot the victim before fleeing. A police K-9 responded to the scene to search for the suspects who were not located.

According to police, the incident does not appear to be random.
