According to a release by Prince William Police, Erica Janelle Hickson was found deceased Aug. 5 around 1 p.m.
Her body was found in a wooded area near Golf Side Circle in Lake Ridge.
Police have presumed that Hickson had been murdered.
A man, Ronald Dorsey of Lake Ridge, was taken into custody for the crime. This is believed to be the second woman he has murdered this year.

The Prince William County Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing, endangered adult, Erica Janelle Hickson.
Erica Janelle Hickson is described as a 37-year-old black female, 5’6’’, and 170 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes.
At this time, it is unknown what type of clothing Hickson was wearing.
According to spokesperson Officer Steven Mattos, Jr., officers responded to the 12300 block of Pond Run Drive in Woodbridge to investigate a missing person, Friday morning.
“The investigation revealed that Ms. Hickson was last seen at approximately 8:30 p.m. on August 4 in the area,” Mattos said.
Hickson may be in need of assistance, which qualifies her as being endangered.
