No Bristow Burglaries Reported So Far in New Year

Posted

policedoor700pxBristow residents were alarmed at the number of burglaries and attempted burglaries that were reported in 2015; however, there have been none since Dec. 31, 2015.

According to police incident reports published throughout the year, 21 incidents occurred in Bristow, ranging from property damage to theft.

The Prince William County Police Department was cautious to give any specific reason for the reduction, except to attribute typical yearly trends.

"We don’t speculate, but there are typical fluctuations in crime throughout the year," police spokesman Officer Nathan Probus said.

The recent weather may have also served as a deterrent.

The first reported incident in 2015 occurred Jan. 8; an iPhone and jewelry were stolen from a residence in the 8500 block of Coronation Lane.

Another burglary was reported in the 8600 block of Linton Hall Road two weeks later.
