UPDATED: Nokesville Brothers Wanted for Assaulting Man, Stealing Sneakers

Prince William County Police have apprehended Justin Vargas, whom they charged with malicious wounding, burglary and grand larceny.

His brother, Daniel, is wanted for only malicious wounding and is still at large.

Justin Vargas' court date is unavailable; he is being held without bond.

The Prince William County Police are searching for two Nokesville men, Daniel Thomas Vargas, 21, and Justin Thomas Vargas, 18, following a report of an assault and burglary.

According to police, on the afternoon of Mar. 20, a 20-year-old Manassas man answered the door of his residence in the 11,000 block of Edgepark Circle in Manassas and was attacked by the suspect identified as Daniel Vargas, whom he knew.

"The assault led to a physical fight between the two parties which continued to an outside area of the residence," police spokesman  Officer Jonathan Perok said. "While the two parties were fighting, a brother of the suspect, identified as Justin Vargas, entered the victim’s residence and removed multiple pairs of Jordan tennis shoes."

Police said both suspects fled the area on foot, while the victim sustained non-life threatening injuries.

"Following the investigation, detectives obtained warrants for both suspects," Perok said.

Daniel Vargas, described as a Hispanic male, 5 feet 10 inches, 190 lbs with a medium build, brown hair, brown eyes, and a tattoo of the Virgin Mary on his left arm, is wanted on charges of  malicious wounding, burglary, and grand larceny.

His brother Justin, described as a Hispanic male, 5 feet 8 inches, 165 lbs with a medium build, brown hair, brown eyes, and a tattoo of a skull on his left arm, is wanted on similar charges.
