An investigation of a Nov. 2 residential burglary lead to Prince William Police arresting Nathan Elmore Thomas. 22, of Nokesville on charges of possession and manufacturing of schedule I/II narcotics.

Police responded to the 12900 block of Free Street in Nokesville to investigate a home invasion.

" reported to police that they were sleeping inside the home when four masked suspects entered the residence armed with guns," police spokesman Officer Steven R. Mattos Jr. said. "Once inside the home, the men restrained one of the victims and assaulted the other."

The masked men took an undisclosed amount of money and a video game console; the suspects are believed to have fled in a vehicle, Mattos said.

Police canvased the crime scene and used a K-9 to search for the suspects who were not located.

"While conducting the investigation, officers located narcotics inside the residence," he said. "A search warrant was obtained and subsequently executed at the home by members of the Narcotics Unit."

Police found marijuana, marijuana wax, a handgun and equipment consistent with drug production and distribution.

The victims, Thomas and Richard Lee German, Jr., 23, of King George were taken into custody. Thomas was charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana.

The court date of both men is pending and bond information is unavailable.

Police continue to investigate the incident, which they say does not appear to be random.
