Prince William County Police are looking for three men who attempted to enter a home located in the 12000 block of Hazelwood Drive in Nokesville this weekend.
According to the homeowner, the incident occurred between 11:30 p.m. June 10 and 12:30 a.m. June 11.
"The investigation revealed that the homeowner woke to the sound of an unknown noise coming from the front door," police spokesperson Officer Nathan Probus said. "The homeowner opened the door and confronted the three men who claimed to be looking for a friend that supposedly resided at the home."
Following the encounter, the men immediately left the area with no further contact with the homeowner, Probus said.
No property was damaged or reported missing.
