Photo Courtesy of Prince William County Police[/caption] Prince William County Police charged Shane Christian Swindle, 43, of Nokesville with strangulation and domestic assault & battery following a Nov. 12 incident in his home in the 12000 block of Hazelwood Drive.
According to police, a 28-year-old woman of Nokesville reported to police that she and Swindle were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated.
"During the encounter, the accused strangled the victim as she attempted to leave," police spokesperson Officer Nathan Probus said. "The victim was eventually able to get away from the accused and contact police.
Police said the victim sustained minor injuries.
"Following the investigation, the accused was arrested without incident," Probus said.
Swindle's court date is pending and he is held without bond.
