Nokesville Traffic Stop Leads to Charge of Felony Child Neglect

Prince William County Police charged Jose Rufino Calleja Soto, 33, of Manassas with felony child neglect, driving under the influence and driving on a revoked license following an Aug. 16 traffic stop in the area of Nokesville Road and Fitzwater Drive in Nokesville.

a Prince William County police officer stopped a vehicle at 9:29 p.m. Sunday for suspected DUI.

"During the encounter, the accused was determined to be intoxicated and was subsequently arrested for driving under the influence," police spokesman Officer Jonathan Perok said.

Police located a 12-year-old girl, a family member of the accused, in the vehicle at the time of his arrest, which lead to additional charges.

The suspect's court date is Oct. 7, 2015 and he was released on a $15,000 secured bond.
