The first accumulation of snow in the area could come early Tuesday morning as the National Weather Service issued a Winter Weather Advisory from 4 a.m. until 1 p.m.
According to the weather service, snow could accumulate around an inch and up to 2 inches under the heaviest bands in the region.
NWS warns that weather conditions will affect the morning rush hour, with the heaviest snow coming 6 a.m. to 11 a.m.
"Snow accumulating on surfaces below freezing will make for hazardous travel conditions," NWS said.
Temperatures will be in the mid to upper 20's Tuesday.
