UPDATED: NWS Issues New Freeze Watch for Thursday Morning

The National Weather Service has issued a Freeze Watch for the area from 3 a.m. to 9 a.m. Wednesday morning.
Updated: April 16, 6 a.m. The National Weather Service has issued another Freeze Watch for late Wednesday night through Thursday morning. A Freeze Warning remains in effect through 9 a.m. Wednesday. Updated: April 15, 1 p.m. The National Weather Service has upgraded the Freeze Watch to a Warning from 3 a.m. to 9 a.m. Wednesday morning. "Unprotected cold-sensitive vegetation will be killed or damaged," NWS said. The NWS advises residents that since temperatures will be in the upper 20s to lower 30s, plants that are sensitive to freezing temperatures will be at serious risk for damage. "A Freeze Watch means sub-freezing temperatures are possible," NWS said. "These conditions could kill crops or other sensitive vegetation." Sub-freezing temperatures are likely again late Wednesday night into Thursday morning.
