The National Weather Service has upgraded Friday’s Freeze Watch to a Warning for the region.

According to NWS, a Freeze Warning has been issued from 3 a.m. to 10 a.m., with temperatures from 30-32 degrees.

Original Story:

The National Weather Service has issued a Freeze Watch for the area from 1 a.m. to 10 a.m. Friday morning.

The NWS advises residents that since temperatures will be in the lower 30s, plants that are sensitive to freezing temperatures will be at serious risk for damage.

"A Freeze Watch means sub-freezing temperatures are possible," NWS said. "These conditions could kill crops or other sensitive vegetation."

Temperatures are expected to rise slightly throughout the weekend and into the beginning of next week.
