Operation Blue Dragon Leads to 31 Arrests in Prince William, 10 Wanted

Detects from the Prince William County and Manassas City Narcotics Task Force, with the assistance of the Fairfax County Police Criminal Intelligence Units, concluded a narcotics operation, leading to the arrest of 31 individuals for distribution illegal schedule II narcotics and issuing of warrants for ten more not yet in custody.

The operation, dubbed "Blue Dragon," centered on street level buys of prescription medications and heroin.

Detects began the operation in September of 2013, and are just nearly completion after the arrest of 31 Northern Virginia residents, the majority of whom reside in Prince William County, the City of Manassas and the City of Manassas Park.

Prince William County police spokesperson, Officer Jonathan Perok said that over the course of the months-long investigation, seven search warrants were issued at various locations, including Kennoway Court in Bristow, Lomond Drive and Braxted Lane in Manassas, Manassas Drive and Walden Street in City of Manassas Park, and Hoffman Drive and Bath Court in Woodbridge.

"After each arrest was made, detectives educated the individual on substance abuse and provided him or her with a pamphlet and other information on how to receive help for their addiction," Perok said.

The individuals arrested include men and women ranged in age from 20 to 86 years and live as far north as Alexandria and as far south as Bealton.

The ten who have not yet been incarcerated, but who currently have warrants out for their arrest, include (pictures are shown within the article):

  • Brian Fisher Kee, 33, no fixed address
  • Jeremy William Riley, 42, of Bradford St. Woodbridge

Bonds have been set between $1,500 and $20,000; however, some of the accused were ineligible for bonds.

The police also want to take the opportunity of the arrests to warn citizens about the illegality of improper use and sale or distribution of prescription narcotics as well as the likelihood individuals will develop an addition for narcotics consumed improperly.

"We would like to remind the public that it is extremely important to secure your medications in your home and to follow your doctor’s recommendations while using prescribed any medication. If you possess any medication which you no longer need, please contact your physician or pharmacist on where you can properly dispose of the medication.
