Patriot HS Locked Down for Routine Drug Search; No Connection to Conn. Tragedy

Posted

This afternoon, Patriot High School in Nokesville was locked down for a routine drug search.

"All are safe, and there is no cause for alarm," Prince William County Schools Supervisor, Community Relations Irene Cromer said.

While many parents on social media were concerned that the lock down was related to the shootings at Sandy Hook Elementary School, PWCS and police assured residents that there was no connection between the events.

"This was a routine canine search by the county police for drugs," she said. "No drugs were found.'
