Prince William County Police revealed the pedestrian was a 36-year-old male. Police do not know the exact time of the incident.

Prince William County Police are investigating a fatal hit & run pedestrian crash, which occurred in the area of Vint Hill Road and Broadlands Road in Nokesville.

According to officials, police were notified about an unconscious person at the scene around 2:49 a.m. Monday. Upon arrival, officers pronounced an adult male dead, who they believe was struck by a car.

“Through the preliminary investigation, it is believed that the male was walking along the roadway when he was struck, and driver fled,” police spokesman Officer Jonathan Perok said. “We currently do not have a description of the striking vehicle.”

Police report that the vehicle was possibly headed west on Vint Hill Road towards Fauquier County and should have extensive front end damage, possibly to the front passenger side.

“The victim’s ID is not being released pending next of kin notification,” Perok said. “Additional will be released later this morning.”
