Police Arrest Suspect in Gainesville Double Stabbing

Prince William County Police arrested Christian Raul Gutierrez-Perez, 21, of Manssas, on two counts of aggravated malicious wounding for a double stabbing that occurred Sunday morning at a residence in the 7300 block of Old Carolina Road in Gainesville.

According to one of the victims, a 22-year-old Manassas man, an argument with an acquaintance escalated physically.

"During the encounter, a friend of the victim’s, a 23-year-old man of Manassas, joined in the fight. At that point, the accused displayed a knife and stabbed the victim’s friend to his chest and slashed the victim to his forehead and arm," police spokesman Jonathan Perok said.

The suspect fled the scene following the assault.

"Both victims were transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries," Perok said.

Police located the accused  later that day and arrested Gutierrez-Perez without further incident.

Police did not disclose his court date, and he is being held without bond.
