Prince William County Police are investigating a robbery at the Gainesville CVS, that occurred before 4 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.
Store surveillance cameras captured images of an individual, who entered the store, located at 14380 McGraws Corner Drive, demanding prescription medication.
“Employees reported to police that an unknown man entered the store and approached the pharmacy counter. Once there, the man implied he had a weapon and demanded several pain medications,” Police spokesman Officer Jonathan Perok said. ”The man took the medications and left the area, possibly in a vehicle.”
Police dispatched a helicopter and K9 units to search the area and they are on the lookout for a white, Ford F250 diesel truck, possibly a dually landscaping truck pulling a trailer.
According to Perok, they are looking for a white male in his 2os who is wearing glasses, about 6 feet 2 inches tall, thin build, facial hair (possibly fake), and last seen wearing a checkered blue and white shirt, blue jeans and black tennis shoes.
The police department is asking the public’s help in providing information about the suspect. Anyone with information relating to this case is asked to call Crime Solvers at 703-670-3700 or 1-866-411-TIPS. Callers do not have to give their names, and they can possibly earn a $1,000 cash reward.
