Staff of Chic Envy in Gainesville reported to police that an individual(s) smashed a glass door and stole a cash register.
Prince William County Police responded to the women's fashion retailer, located at 937 Stonewall Shops Square, May 11 at 12:45 a.m. after receiving an alarm activation from the business.
"Officers arrived and discovered the front glass door was broken out," police spokesman Officer Jonathan Perok said. "No suspect(s) were located. A cash register containing an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency was reported missing."
Perok said officers and a police K-9 canvassed the area.
