Following an investigation of a stabbing in the 7900 block of Saddlehorn Court in Manassas June 4, Prince William County Police charged Jason Brent Budimlya, 32, of Manassas with aggravated malicious wounding.
According to the victim, a 51-year-old man from Manassas, he and an acquaintance were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated.
"During the encounter, the accused pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim in the upper body," police spokesman Officer Jonathan Perok said. "Officers arrived and detained the accused without further incident."
The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Following the investigation, police arrested the accused.
Budimlya's court date is unavailable and he is held without bond.
