policecrusierclosePrince William County Police responded to two burglaries in Nokesville this week.

On June 8, officers were called to the 14500 block of Stephen Street for reports of a burglary, which the homeowner said  occurred around 10 a.m.

“The investigation revealed that the homeowner heard a noise around that time and believed it was another resident of the home,” police spokesman Officer Jonathan Perok said. “A short time later, the homeowner determined that entry was made into the residence through an unsecured window.”

Perok said money and jewelry were reported missing.

The front door to a residence located in the 12000 block of Burwell Road was forced open June 9; two gaming consoles, jewelry and a camera were among the property the homeowner said was missing from the home.

Reportedly, the burglary occurred between 6:30 a.m. and 3:15 p.m.

The police have not announced any connection between the two incidents.
