Police Are Searching for Perpetrator of Manassas Hit & Run

Prince William Police are looking for the individual responsible for a hit and run accident in Manassas, Aug. 29.

Officers responded to the 8400 block of Leland Road in Manassas at 3 a.m. Monday morning to investigate a possible hit and run crash.

"The caller reported to police that an unknown man was seen lying in the middle of the road. Officers arrived in the area and located the man suffering from extensive injuries to his body," said police spokesperson, Sgt. Jonathan Perk. "The injuries appeared to be consistent with being struck by a vehicle."

The victim identified as a 27-year-old man of Manassas was flown to an area hospital for treatment. No witnesses immediately came forward having observed the incident and no striking vehicle was located.
