Detectives from the Special Victims Unit investigated a sexual assault Aug. 18, which occurred at a residence in the 7400 block of Albemarle Drive in Manassas.
"The investigation revealed that the victim, a 6-year-old girl, was sexually assaulted by the accused, an acquaintance," police spokesman Officer Jonathan Perok said. "The victim disclosed the incident to a family friend who contacted police."
Following the investigation, police arrested and charged Guzmin Larin Raymundo, 64, of Manassas with aggravated sexual battery Aug. 19.
Larin Raymundo's court date is pending and he is being held without bond.
