Prince William County Police responded to two reported incidents this week that occurred in the area of Benchmark Lane in Bristow; both did not result in arrests.
According to police spokesman Officer Jonathan Perok, police investigated calls on 9:30 p.m. Oct. 7 and approximately 3:15 p.m. Oct. 8.
" referenced a suspicious person. The area was checked, and no one was located," Perok said.
The second call, he said, was a service request.
"The call turned out to be unfounded, not a public threat call," he said. "No one was taken in custody for any reason being arrest, protective custody, or otherwise."
Earlier this week, the police department issued a statement asking Bristow residents to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity in the area.
