Prince William County Police responded Mar. 30 at 12:06 a.m.to the 10200 block of Winchester Court in Manassas for reports of a stabbing.
According to police, the victim, a 46-year-old Manassas man, was involved in an altercation with an unknown man outside of his residence in the area above.
"During the encounter, the victim was stabbed multiple times before the suspect fled on foot," police spokesman Officer Jonathan Perok said. "A witness attempted to chase after the suspect who was last seen running towards Cub Run Court."
Police report no property is missing.
"The victim was transported to an area hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries," Perok said.
Police used a K-9 to search for the suspect, who is described as a Hispanic male of unknown age. He was last seen wearing a black windbreaker, jeans, and a black beanie-style hat.
