Police Seek Help in Locating Missing Gainesville Man

Prince William County Police are requesting residents' help in trying to locate Kwang Seok KIM, 52, who was reported missing on Monday.

Family members contacted police on Aug. 6 to report Kwang KIM missing from a residence in the 6800 block of Hollow Glen Court in Gainesville. Police report that there is some urgency in the search, as family members are concerned about KIM's mental condition.

"It is believed that Mr. KIM may be suicidal," a police official said in a release.

According to police, the  investigation revealed that KIM took a ferry from Loudoun County to Montgomery County in Maryland yesterday around 5:00 p.m. Montgomery County police are also assisting in the search for KIM in their jurisdiction.

Police describe KIM as an Asian male, 5 feet 2 inches, 145 lbs, thin build with gray balding hair and brown eyes. They said he was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, shorts, black and red shoes and was carrying a backpack.
