Police Seek Help in Nokesville Cold Case

Prince William County Police responded to the 12000 block of Aden Road in Nokesville to investigate the disappearance of Shane Ryan Donahue March 24, 2010.

According to police, the family reported that Donahue was last seen on March 22 at his residence in the above area.

"Mr. Donahue does not have access to a vehicle and frequently gets rides from friends and other known acquaintances," a police official said in a post on Facebook. "He has known ties to the Northern Virginia, Washington D.C., and Baltimore, MD areas."

At that time, Police entered Donahue  into the national missing persons database.

"Over the past three years, detectives from the Violent Crimes Bureau, including the Cold Case Office, continue to investigate this case and are seeking the public’s help with providing any additional information which may help solve this case," they said.

Police described Donahue at the time of his disappearance as a white male, 5 feet 11 inches, 180 pounds, medium build with brown eyes and brown hair.

He turned 27 last week.

Police ask residents to share this information on social media.

"Anyone with information relating to this case is asked to privately send us a message on Facebook, email us at policedept@pwcgov.org or call Crime Solvers at 703-670-3700 or 1-866-411-TIPS."

Residents can earn up to a $1,000 cash reward for information about the case.
