Updated: July 5, 2 p.m. Police reported that Frederick "Fred" Kilpatrick, 84, who was reported missing and endangered this morning, has been located in Maryland and is safe. Original Story: The Prince William County Police Department is asking residents for help in locating Frederick "Fred" Kilpatrick, 84, who left his home in the 15000 block of Berkeley Drive in Haymarket around 1:30 a.m. Sunday morning. "Fred is believed to have left the residence voluntarily; however, he is medically impaired and may be in need of assistance, which qualifies him as being endangered," police spokesman Officer Mark Merriman said. Kilpatrick is described as a white male, 84-year-old, 5 feet 10 inches, 214lbs with green eyes, short, gray hair, glasses and pens in his pocket; he was last seen wearing a green, button-down striped shirt, gray or black pants and a black leather belt. Police said that Kilpatrick may also be driving a 2010, silver Toyota Highlander with Virginia license plates: WUP-3574, with a Loudoun county sticker on the windshield, a Loudoun county parking permit in the left rear window and a “VCU MOM” sticker on the right rear window.
"It is possible he was in the Washington Street area earlier this morning,"  Merriman said. Anyone who has information on his whereabouts should call police at 703-792-6500.
