Photo Courtesy Prince William PolicePrince William County Police are asking residents for help in locating a suspect in the reported sexual assault of a 12-year-old Manassas girl Aug. 21 at the Walmart on Sudley Road.
The victim told police that she was shopping inside the store at 11:38 p.m. when she was approached by an unknown man.
"During the encounter, the man inappropriately touched her over her clothing," police spokesperson Officer Jonathan Perok said. "Following the incident, the victim immediately notified a nearby citizen who contacted police."
The victim sustained no injuries from the incident and the suspect made no further contact with her.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 30-40-years-old with a thin build, light complexion, short black hair and a goatee. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, blue jeans, and black and white Nike sneakers.
