Prince William Ice Center Evacuated after Ammonia Fumes Detected

Hazmat Units shut down the Prince William Ice Center in Woodbridge Tuesday afternoon due to reports of fumes from a leaking 1700 pound ammonia tank, located outside of the building.

According to PWC Scanner Bums, all occupants evacuated the building and no there were no readings inside.

Children from the hockey camp  were transferred to the Boys and Girls Club.

Anticipating an extended event, multiple Fire & Rescue units responded.

The tank was reportedly 1/3 full when the leak was reported.
