Promenade at Va. Gateway to Showcase Local Musicians

Residents can enjoy music each Saturday evening at The Promenade at Virginia Gateway in June and July. First up on June 6 is The Exaggerations.

Beginning this weekend, the Plaza at the Promenade at Virginia Gateway in Gainesville will play host to local performers, who will bring a variety of music styles to residents.

"The artists are all local musicians and groups that play throughout Northern Virginia," Peterson Companies spokesperson Joanna Caputi said. "By providing live music on the Plaza at Promenade, we hope to enhance the experience of those visiting the shopping center."

The schedule of June and July performances include:

• June 6 - Fabulous Exaggerations (Classic Rock, Country )
• June 13 - Ty Braddock (Country)
• June 20 - Soho Down (Country Rock)
• June 27 - Ruthie & The Wranglers (Americana, Rock, Country)
• July 3 - Kara & Matty D Trio (Classic Rock, Pop)
• July 11 - Russ Clarke Project (Classic Rock, Pop,....a little Fleetwood Mac)
• July 18 - Patty Reese Band (Classic Rock, Pop)
• July 25 - Savoy Truffle (Beatles, Rock)

Performances begin at 6 p.m.

"If you’re at the center, we hope you’ll stay and enjoy the entertainment or have dinner or dessert after the performance," Caputi said. "The Plaza is a great gathering place during the day, especially with the interactive splash fountain and we hope to energize it in the evenings as well."
