Prince William County Police are investigating a larceny from auto in the 13300 block of Catharpin Valley Drive in Gainesville.
According to the homeowner, the incident occurred sometime between 8:30 p.m. Nov 8. and 8 a.m. Nov. 9.
"An unknown suspect went through the victim’s unlocked vehicle parked in front of the residence," police spokesman Offcier Nathan Probus said. "Further investigation revealed that entry made into the attached garage through the garage door which was left partially open."
Probus said that a purse and wallet were reported missing from the vehicle, and several bottles of soda were reported missing from the garage.
