PWCSA Clarifies Boil Water Advisory Area; Bristow Not Affected

Posted

pwcslogoDespite telephone calls that many residents have received from the Prince William County Service Authority, the agency has confirmed that Bristow residents are not included in the boil water advisory that is affecting parts of Gainesville and Haymarket.

According to spokesman Kipp Hanley, PWCSA was trying to get the message out as quickly as possible and inadvertently called some residents who were not affected by the advisory.

"Unfortunately, some people got some calls in the area around Linton Hall Road who were not a part of the boil water advisory," Hanley said.

Hanley said that residents should trust the map that the service authority has posted on its website, which explains that it is affects homes and businesses located north and west of I-29 and the Virginia Gateway/Atlas Walk shopping center.

If anyone outside that area is experiencing water quality problems, they should contact the PWCSA.
