Following an investigation by detectives from the Special Victims Unit, Randy William Herman, 26, of Manassas, a registered sex offender, was charged with 10 counts of possession of child pornography.
"While conducting the searches, detectives located an electronic device containing child pornography," police spokesperson Officer Ericca Figueroa said.
The investigation resulted in the execution of two search warrants in 9000 block of Jerrys Circle and the 7500 block of Prince Cole Court in Manassas.
Police arrested Herman April 23 without incident.
Herman's court date is June 12, 2014; he is held without bond.
The accused was also convicted Jan. 12, 2012 for possession of child pornography.
