Reston Woman Committed Hit & Run with her Children in Car

Prince William County Police charged Diana Maria Castellanos, 31, of Reston, with two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, two counts of felony child neglect, one count of felony hit and run and one count of reckless driving, following a domestic dispute at 2:45 a.m. in Manassas.

Prince William County Police responded Dec. 22 to the area of Sudley Road and Crestwood Drive in Manassas to investigate a domestic dispute.

The victim, a 35 year-old Manassas man, reported that he was driving in the area, when he was struck repeatedly from behind by an acquaintance, according to police spokesperson Officer Jonathan Perok.

"The accused repeatedly struck the victim’s vehicle with hers before fleeing the area," Perok said.

While investigating the incident, police discovered that Castellanos had her two children, ages seven and five, with her in the car while allegedly striking the other vehicle. No injuries were reported.

Fairfax County Police located her at her Reston residence. Following an investigation, police arrested Castallanos.

She is being held on bond for $7,500. A court date is yet unavailable.
