Springfield Woman Dies in Car Crash on Sudley Manor Drive

policedoor700pxA fatal car crash on Sudley Manor Drive in Manassas claimed the life of 26-year-old Lauren Marie Flagge of Springfield, Wednesday.

Prince William Police Officers responded to the area of Sudley Manor Drive and Bethlehem Road in Manassas to investigate a crash, Oct. 5 at 7:31 a.m.

“The investigation revealed that the driver of 2007 Volkswagen GTI was traveling northbound on Sudley Manor Drive when, at the same time, the driver of a 2011 Chevrolet Aveo was traveling southbound,” police spokesperson, Sgt. Jonathan Perok said.

According to Prince William Police, the Chevrolet Aveo driver attempted to make a left turn onto Bethlehem Road, crossing in front of the other driver, causing the collision.

The driver of the Chevrolet Aveo was ejected from the vehicle and transported to an area hospital where she died as a result of her injuries two days later on October 7.

The other driver sustained non-life threatening injuries.

Flagge was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision.

“Speed, drug, and alcohol use are not factors in this crash,” Perok said.

The driver of the 2007 Volkswagen GTI was identified as a 38-year-old man of Bristow.
