Update: All Clear at Stonewall Middle School After Evacuation in Response to Strong Odor

Updated, 12:10 p.m.: Students and staff have returned safety to Stonewall Middle School.

"The Fire Department gave the all-clear to end the precautionary evacuation after a thorough check," said PWCS spokesperson Irene Cromer. "All normal activieis resuming."

Original Story 11:30 a.m.: Stonewall Middle School has undergone a precautionary evacuation at approximately 11:10 Monday morning, due to suspicion of a gas leak. All students and faculty are safe.

According to Irene Cromer, Director of Community Relations for Prince William County Schools, Stonewall Middle School at 10100 Lomond Drive, Manassas, has been evacuated “due to a strong odor.”

“All are safe,” said Cromer, and the “Fire department is en route.”
