Prince William County Police are investigating a residential burglary, which occurred in the 12100 block of Rain Slicker Place in Nokesville 3:22 a.m. Oct. 19.
According to the homeowner, a loud noise was heard coming from the basement.
"Upon checking the residence, a basement door was found damaged and open," police spokesperson Sgt. Jonathan Perok said. "A police K-9 search the residence and did not locate an intruder."
The owner reported an electronic tablet and money missing.
