A resident who lives in the Madison Crescent community in Gainesville reported that an individual(s) removed gifts from boxes that were delivered to her home.
According to the homeowner, the theft occurred between 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. Thursday.
"As always during the Christmas season, I checked my front porch for expected deliveries," she said. "I was awfully surprised when I found my mother's Christmas presents had been removed from the box and the box left on the porch."
The homeowner reported the incident to police and she hopes to warn area residents to be vigilant.
"I do hope to make other residence aware of the underhanded heartless criminals out there," he said.
