Prince William County Police confirmed that multiple unlocked vehicles were burglarized Wednesday night in Tullamore Estates in Catharpin.
Police could not offer a specific number of cars affected, as they are still compiling information from a number of reports.
Police spokesperson Officer Nathan Probus said most of the larcenies occurred in the area of Stepney Drive.
"Items taken seem to be most petty cash," he said.
The recent rash of car larcenies in the area has prompted police to warn residents to secure their vehicles at all times, day or night.
