Tile Saw Stolen from Bristow Job Site

Posted

sawAccording to local contractor Michael Whitlow, his professional grade tile saw and accessories were stolen from a job site in the 10100 block of Elgin Way in Bristow Tuesday morning.

The incident occurred in front of his client’s house at approximately 9:30 a.m. He suspects there might have been more than one individual responsible due to the saw's weight.

"It was on its stand and locked into position," Whitlow said. "It actually requires two people to move without getting hurt, it is a very heavy unit; it also is not a piece of equipment that we can use inside a client’s house so it has to be set up outside."

The red MK-101 Pro24 JCS tile saw was valued new at $2,500.

"My unit was a few years old but I take very good care of all my tools and it didn’t show its age," he said. " Along with the machine, [in a white tub under the saw] were all the specialty jigs used for special cuts, including a large rip guide, 45 degree miter guide, 90 degree protractor guide, dual 45 degree flat angle guide."

Whitlow, a Bristow resident, said about 75 percent of his work is in the neighborhood with his company www.vetbuilder.com.
