Prince William County Police confirmed that a tw0 to three-year-old child was struck by a vehicle approximately 8:20 p.m. Saturday evening in the 9400 block of Merrimont Trace Circle.
"The child has been flown to Fairfax Hospital with unknown injuries at this point in time," police spokesman Officer Steven R. Mattos, Jr. said.
The investigation is ongoing, he said.
The child was reportedly flown out from the Marsteller Middle School parking lot.
As of 10 p.m. Sudley Manor Drive at Linton Hall Road is shut down.
