Prince William County Police responded to a residence in the 15000 block of Danehurst Circle in Gainesville for reports of an individual(s) firing a projectile at an occupied residence.
This is the second report of shots fired in this community in the past week.
According to the homeowner, an unknown person(s) shot at her garage door between 6:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m Tuesday morning.
"The projectile could not be identified but did create two small holes in the door," police spokesman Jonathan Perok said. "No one was home at the time of the incident and no injuries or other property damage were reported."
