UPDATE: Police Find Body of Missing Nokesville Fisherman

Police divers located the body of Joseph Franklin Emberton, 56, of Nokesville, at 4:45 p.m. Thursday.

Emberton disappeared Monday evening while fishing on Engh Pond.

Updated: Oct. 2, 12:00 p.m. Police dive teams continue to search for the Nokesville man who disappeared after boating on Engh Pond Monday. After a search Tuesday, police have still not located 56-year-old Joseph Franklin Emberton of Nokesville. According to a Prince William County Police spokesperson, rescue workers have found both Emberton’s truck and his boat, which was on Engh Pond off Trotter Ridge Place five miles east of Nokesville in Prince William County.  Original Post: Prince William Police are looking for a Nokesville man who had gone missing Monday while fishing at Engh Pond in the east Aden Road section of Nokesville. According police on the scene, as of 10:30 a.m., divers were preparing themselves to search the pond for the man whose boat was discovered at the pond off Trotter Ridge Place. Police have positioned themselves at a private residencne which backs up to Engh Pond within the Alexander Lake Community. Police have not yet released the name of the man, but officers on the scene said he lives along Aden Road. First Sergeant Kim Chinn, a spokesperson for Prince William Police, has confirmed that divers have been dispatched. Helicopters had been dispatched earlier Tuesday morning to search for the missing man.
