UPDATE: Terry McAuliffe Wins Va. Governor's Race

Major media outlets have called the governor's race in Virginia for Democrat Terry McAuliffe with 98 percent of Virginia precincts reporting.

Poll results via Virginia State Board of Elections show Democrat Terry McAuliffe has surpassed Ken Cuccinelli by nearly a 2 percent margin.

Governor’s Race

Democrat Terry McAuliffe has won 47.39 percent of the vote. Republican Ken Cuccinelli has 45.80 of the vote. Libertarian candidate Robert Sarvis currently has 6.61 percent of vote.

Lieutenant Governor’s Race

In the race for Lieutenant Governor, Democrat Ralph Northan is leading with 54.41 percent over Republican E.W. Jackson, who has 45.39 percent of the vote.

Attorney General’s Race

The race for Virginia's Attorney General still may be too close to call.  Republican Mark Obenshain remains in the lead with 50.39 percent of the vote. Democrat Mark Herring, however, has gained more ground with now 49.50 percent of the vote.
