Prince William County Police confirmed Linh Pham, 26, of Bristow, was the victim of the shooting Sunday.

Updated: Nov. 6, 9: 30 p.m.

Prince William County Police announced that the 26-year-old Bristow woman, who was shot in the upper body 5:35 p.m. Sunday in the 7300 block of Atlas Walk Way in Gainesville, has died from her injuries.

"The victim...was transported to an area hospital where she was pronounced dead," police spokesperson Sgt. Jonathan Perok said. "Detectives from the Homicide Unit are continuing to investigate this case."

Police have made no arrests in the case.

"At this time, this shooting does not appear to be random," Perok said.

This is Prince William County’s 20th homicide for 2016.

Prince William County Police are investigating a shooting, which occurred 5:30 p.m. in a parking lot located at the 7300 block of Atlas Walk Way in Gainesville.

According to a police spokesperson, an adult female was wounded and was flown to an area hospital with a life-threatening gun shot wound to the upper body.

Police are soliciting video footage of the incident from area businesses; the investigation is ongoing.
