Following an investigation, police charged Cuong Huynh, 20, of Centreville with possession with intent to distribute marijuana after a drug-related confrontation with two men Feb. 27.

Huynh told police that two unknown men approached him in the 8100 block of Portwood Turn in Manassas, one of whom brandished a knife.

“One of the men displayed a knife and took an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency from the victim before fleeing the area,” police spokesman Officer Jonathan Perok said.

Police utilized a K-9 in the search for the men; however, during the investigation, police said they found marijuana on Huynh.

“Further investigation revealed that the victim came to the area above for a drug transaction which led to the robbery,” Perok said.

Police found marijuana, packaging material, and other evidence on Huynh, who they arrested.

Huynh’s court date is set for April 8, 2013; he is being held on a $2,000 secured bond.

Police are searching for two black males, 20-30-years-old, roughly six feet tall, 180 lbs, with medium builds and black hair. One of the men was last seen wearing a red and white hooded sweatshirt; the other was wearing all dark clothing.
