This weekend get ready for warm days and rock and roll nights. There is plenty of night life to be found not too far from home. There's something for everyone, whether you want to call a babysitter, or not, or maybe you want to take your babysitting money and spend it on a night out.

At 8 p.m. in Merchant’s Hall of the Hylton Performing Arts center, see “Romeo and Juliet” and “Chopiniana” as performed by the Russian National Ballet Theatre. These two “romantic reveries” depict both romance and tragedy translated into dance. Tickets are $38-54, one free with Mason ID.

Deja Brew Coffee House in Haymarket will feature Cameron Lodge, a local singer/songwriter from the Shenandoah Music Conservatory. Lodge is currently working on his second album with the Cosmic Blackbirds.

Hylton presents local arts in its 2013 Arts Alive! Festival from noon to 8 p.m. Enjoy dance, music, visual arts, photography, literature and theater all performed by local artists! Families are welcome. Enjoy local food and goodies as well!

Orange Leaf Bristow in Braemar Village Plaza will have live music starting at 7:30 p.m. for the second week since the shop opened. This week’s featured artist is the talented Mackenzie Fisher, local folk rock singer/songwriter. As always, enjoy the delicious frozen yogurt along with the live music.

Zombie Jack has been resurrected as Superfamous and will be playing (dead) live at 9:30 p.m. at the Lion & Bull restaurant bar and grill in Haymarket. Superfamous challenges all those Northern Virginians who claim to love rock and roll to come out to the show.

Saturday is another interactive open-mic night at Deja Brew in Haymarket starting at 7 p.m. in the coffee house located in the Market Square of Dominion Valley! Play live music or come to support to other local performers and take in the local java house vibe. Admission is free.
